Otto and Sons was discovered by the McDonald’s Corporation in the 1950’s. The company had established itself as a premier meat processing facility and Ray Kroc need needed an organization that he could trust. The relationship between Otto and Sons and the McDonald’s Corporation was timely and successful. Otto and Sons was a very innovative company along with McDonalds. It eventually became known as OSI Group in the 1960’s and began doing international business under the leadership of Sheldon Lavin.
